The 18038 is a flat dial with a single quickset feature and the 18238 is the same as the 18038 in appearance but has dual quickset. Location: California. Watch: 60s to 90s. Posts: 1,342. Big differences are date setting (non quickset 1803 vs single quickset 18038), step down dial on 1803 vs flat dial on 18038, and 18038 seems a have more dial options.
